Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.

A filmmaker and storyteller with expertise in delivering wildlife and nature stories, portraying the story of conflict and coexistence between humans and nature in its different forms. As a content creator, I direct and edit content for organizations and businesses working on social agendas.
All of these started in 2016, with my first project with National Geographic as an Assistant director. My interest in visual communication developed into a lifestyle. Since then, I have been filming stories of rural communities in Central India and the Himalayas, living with the head hunters Naga tribe of Manipur, filming tiger conflict in Vidharba, making an audiovisual journal of forest guards of Pench, and working with wildlife organizations in different landscapes.

To not miss a great story is what I pursue and to deliver it is what I stand for! But if not filming either, I will be in some remote Himalayan village either cycling or planning a trek or in Ujjain, which is home.
During these years working as a filmmaker, my film 'Fisherman and friends' was selected in 2017 in Festival International Nature Namur (2017), and my short film 'A Tree' won the best Ultra-short film in Festival International Nature Namur (2019). In 2019, I was selected for the Vulcan Visiting World Filmmaker Scholarship.

While 2020 was at a standstill after lockdown, the resume was slow but ended up into many adventures- looking for vultures, repairing a tire puncture in the night inside a wildlife sanctuary surrounded by a leopard, filming community nutrition gardens for GIZ, and starting my own film company- The Bustards -

2021 started with a trip to Rajasthan in the Thar desert to film and develop a conservation project on Great Indian Bustards, followed by travelling to the Himalayas- to direct films for Waste Warriors. At present, I am producing and directing my project, which is supported by National Geographic under the COVID-19 EMERGENCY FUND FOR JOURNALISTS.
